Learn something you love from an expert

The Independent Market is looking forward to the first market of the year Sunday 5th March.

night schoolIn the meantime they have introduced a new feature of the market, a Night School –  a series of evening taster workshops in Frome.

Tabitha Clayson, Market Manager explains “If, like us, you are inspired by the talents and craft of The Frome Independent’s traders, this is an opportunity for you to get creative and try your hand at learning a new skill under their expert guidance. AT Night School, you can learn a range of contemporary crafts and food processes, from blacksmithing to book-binding and printing to preserving. We’ve put together a selection of designers, makers, craftspeople and food producers to share their skills with you and offer hands-on experiences in a supportive and social atmosphere.”

Night School sessions are delivered in partnership with Forward Space and will take place at The Old Church School’s event space in Frome and all abilities are welcome.

Places are limited to ensure participants gain intensive support and knowledge from workshop leaders, so booking early is recommended.

There will be 10 sessions throughout the year and the first 5 can be seen here.

To reserve your place email admin@thefromeindependent.org.uk indicating which session(s) you wish attend. Members of The Old Church School and The Frome Independent’s Market Maker scheme qualify for discounts.
