It`s #smallbusinesssaturday tomorrow, so what better way to celebrate and support your local economy than doing your shopping at one of Frome`s many independent businesses? Especially with Christmas fast approaching - locally made, sourced and crafted goods could make the perfect gifts for your loved ones. 🎁
Although, every day should celebrate our small businesses, for they are a fabulous asset to our town and our community. So whilst tomorrow might be the "official" day of recognition, make as many days as possible all about supporting independent traders. Frome wouldn`t be the same without them. ❤

`The Origin Legend of Frome’ newly fills six windows at the far end of Cheap Street. The legend blends historical and folkloric tales of St Aldhelm, (Feast Day 28th May) who built a monastery on the river Frome over 1300 years ago. The market town then grew up around the monastery and church. The windows celebrate Cheap Street as one of England’s oldest trading streets, as well as Aldhelm’s fame as a riddler, singer, lover of rivers and springs, champion of community and – so the story goes – rider of a fire-eating horse that could run swifter than thought.
Head to the old windows of Amica to see the beautiful tale brought to life by local author, artist and medievalist @amyjeffs_author and artist and illustrator @_gwenburns_.

Expect delicious treats from @mooandtwo and @morewineontap, @hedgerowdrinks, @the_crumpeteers, @natural_flames_pizza, @grillfortyfour, Owen`s Sausages and Hams @obarratt and Gabby`s Ice Cream. Yum!
🎅 The main event kicks off just before 6pm, with the arrival of the @mayoroffrome, heralded by @fromesofficialtowncrier.
