Lantern kits are on sale at Frome Town Hall, Discover Frome Information Point, Share shop or at the workshops.

Beckington Scarecrow Trail – 26th October – 3rd November

Beckington Scarecrow TrailThis year the Beckington Scarecrow Trail theme is nursery rhymes. The trail will be officially launching at Beckington School on Saturday 26th from 1pm-3pm.

Trail sheets (£3) will be available to buy together with lots of yummy refreshments. Pop in for a drink and a cake before or after the trail.  If you can’t make the launch event, trail sheets will also be available from Mes Amis and the Woolpack Inn all week.

Pumpkin carving workshopPumpkin Carving Workshops – 25th October

Environmental Artist Stephen Whitehead will be running these hands-on sessions to help you develop the most spectacular carvings, which you will then form part of a collaborative display at Hauser & Wirth Somerset – the central attractions at our annual Pumpkin Festival.

All participants who attend the Pumpkin Festival will receive an award, and you will be able to collect your creation at the end of the event on Sunday, ready for Halloween. Workshops are free, but must be booked in advance. Find out times and more information here.

Hauser & Wirth Annual Pumpkin Festival – 27th October

Pumpkin Festival Hauser & WirthCelebrate autumn’s bounty at Hauser & Wirth’s annual Pumpkin Festival. The fun-filled day will include many free family activities and games, storytelling, talks and live music.

You can also enter the Grand Pumpkin & Squash Competition with categories for ‘Heaviest Pumpkin’ or ‘Best in Show’ and be in the chances of winning a £500 cash prize. For the less green-fingered, you can enter a Baking Competition for squash-inspired baked goods.

Toy Library Fun – 29th October

Come along and have fun with our large range of toys, games and books.  Why not become a member and borrow some toys while you are there? Aimed at pre-school children but older siblings are welcome.

Martial Arts Tasters – 30th OctoberFamily holiday fun

Try out different styles of martial arts and see which you like in this fun and active session. This activity can be adapted to accommodate your child’s need and abilities.

Silk Painting Workshops – 31st October

In this session we’ll be making greetings cards using silk painting techniques. Have fun learning a new and fascinating skill. Places are limited so get there early to avoid disappointment. For 6 years plus with fabric painting for younger ones.

Help make the park look even prettier by planting new trees and Spring flowering bulbs. Why not come back next year to see how your plants are growing.

Free Family Halloween Party – 31st October

23 Bath Street Halloween party23 Bath Street will be decorated to the nines in eerie decor with awesome activities, games, treats and tricks happening ALL day long. Plus magical tunes and haunting Halloween mixes from start to finish.

Zombie litter pickZombie Litter Pick – 31st October

Frome’s Litter Warriors meet every other week to help keep the streets of Frome clean.  This time the pick has a Halloween twist, so come in your best Zombie gear.  Starts from outside Tesco, Stonebridge. Find out more here.

Frome Fireworks – 2nd November

To finish off half term, join us for a magnificent free firework display. Warming and delicious refreshments are available from 6pm, with the fireworks show kicking off  at 7.30pm accompanied by music.

The Rotary clubs will be collecting donations on the evening, which will then be distributed to local charities and causes. Find out more here.
