Frome Walking Festival
Frome’s annual Walking Festival offers a diverse weekend programme of guided walks, trails and activities for young and old alike. Explore Frome’s history and heritage and the beautiful surrounding countryside in walks ranging from easy afternoon strolls to longer riverside rambles.
The 2023 programme offers 18 walks over 3 days, centred around history, nature, the countryside and even dancing. 14 of the walks are free.

Alongside the guided walks you’ll also be able to pick up a free “fairy doors” map to take a whimsical self-guided walk through Welshmill woods. Copies of the new Frome Wheel map by Walkers are Welcome, presenting 54 miles of routes through historic streets, beautiful green spaces and ancient woodland will also be on sale. Stop by the Walkers are Welcome pop-up stall by the Cheese & Grain, during the Walking Festival, for these new maps and some old favourites.
