Events Calendar Round-up: November 2023
November is peeking around the corner, so its time to fill up your calendars with all things autumnal – let’s welcome in the season! There’s so much to choose from this upcoming month, with plenty to suit everyone’s interests.

What’s on throughout November
4th November – Frome Drone Show: ‘Close Encounters of the Frome Kind’
The much-anticipated Drone show is almost upon us. Join us for a spectacular ‘lightworks’ show from local company Celestial in partnership with Frome Town Council. It is sure to be quite the spectacle!
5th November – Frome Independent Market
The November edition of the Frome Independent Market is here. Complete with exquisite jewellery, luxurious natural skincare, beautiful hand made ceramics, wonderfully fresh produce – the list goes on. This is the penultimate Independent before they take a couple of months’ well-earned rest, so be sure to make the most of it whilst you can.
10th-12th November – Frome Walking Festival
Frome’s annual Walking Festival offers a diverse weekend programme of guided walks, trails and activities for young and old alike. Explore Frome’s history and heritage and the beautiful surrounding countryside in walks ranging from easy afternoon strolls to longer riverside rambles.
12th November – Remembrance Sunday Parade
Frome will be honouring Remembrance Sunday at Frome Memorial, Sunday 12th November from 10:55am. The Remembrance Parade will start from the Drill Hall, Keyford finishing at the Memorial Theatre, with a short service and wreath-laying to follow. A two minutes’ silence will be observed at 11am.16th-18th November – Henrik Ibsen’s ‘A Doll’s House’
Head along to the Merlin Theatre and enjoy this amateur production of ‘A Doll’s House’ by Frome Drama. Set during the Christmas period of mid-nineteenth century Norway, Frank McGuinness’ version of the production is bound to have the wintery feel – cosy up and head on down.
24th November – Christmas Lantern Parade, Lights Switch On and Little Night Market
We’re so excited to have another wonderful Christmas Lantern Parade, light switch on and a Little Night Market: Christmas edition this November. It is guaranteed to be an evening full to the brim of festive spirit, joy and fun for all the family. You don’t want to miss this!
25th November – Craig Charles Funk & Soul House Party
Get ready for the ultimate Funk & Soul House Party! This all-new DJ show for 2023 invites fans to enter Craig’s living room as he delves into his extensive record collection to bring you straight-up groove bangers, exclusive funk and soul cuts, and much more.
26th November – Frome Winter Vegan Fair
Pop along to the Cheese and Grain for a Sunday full of vegan goodies – from festive themed food, non-alcoholic party drinks to eco-friendly gifts like cruelty free cosmetics, clothing and hand crafted items.
