What’s on in Frome this Easter

Old Showfield engagement activities – 8th-21st April

For most of the month of April, there will be activities taking place at the Old Showfield for its long-awaited reopening. Many areas of the Showfield have been spruced up and given a new lease of life, whilst the play park has had a complete refurbishment. Activities that you can expect will include making go-karts, wildlife mapping, frisbee golf, community wildflower meadow-planting and so much more. Easter on the Farm with the Easter Bunny – 29th March-10th April

Colourful Easter eggsCome and join us at Palette and Pasture for our exciting Easter trail where you will get to meet the Easter Bunny himself! Pick up your activity sheet, pop on your bunny ears (included with child’s ticket), and hop off around the farm to see how many carrots the Easter Bunny has hidden.

Purple Elephant Charity Easter Egg Hunt – 30th March, 11am – 2pm

Can you follow the clues around Nunney to find your egg? Tickets are £5 per child. All money raised goes to Purple Elephant Family Support charity. To book your place, please contact: rebeccapurpleelephant@gmail.com

Frome Memorial Theatre’s Easter Party – 31st March, 2:30pm – 5pm

Illustration of a bunny with Easter eggDress those kids up in their Easter-themed finery and head to the Memorial Theatre for an afternoon of egg-static fun! DJ and dancing, prizes to be won, a raffle and even a chance to meet the Easter bunny. Children go for £8.50 including party food and Easter cake, and must be under supervision of a responsible adult. Adults go free. Tickets must be purchased from the box office or from the Memorial Theatre’s website.

Premier Education Easter Holiday Camp – 2nd-5th April

Multi sports camp - Premier EducationPremier Education are hosting their Easter edition of the multi-sports holiday camp at Avanti Park School. Designed to keep kids active and introduce them to new and egg-citing activities like lacrosse, food education and more. There are a few HAF places left for this camp, so if your child is in receipt of free school meals, you can sign them up for a free HAF space here.

Easter Hangout with Super Pirates – 3rd-4th April

The fun never ends with Super Pirates! Nerf battles, fusball, table tennis, crafts, comic making, board games, retro games consoles and more. Healthy lunch included courtesy of Lungi Babas. £25 a day or free if your child is entitled to free school meals – more information on how to sign up on the Super Pirates website.

Easter Egg Hunt – 4th April, 9:30am – 12pm

Join Vallis Farm for an Easter egg-stravaganza in their community orchard! You will be painting eggs together before hiding them in the orchard for the children to find. Join in from 9.30am in the roundhouse by the farm, you will hide your decorated eggs and then the hunt begins! Spaces are limited but free so be sure to email in to register your place.

Art in the Park – 5th April, 10:30am – 1:30pm

Spring into the Easter holidays with a lovely FREE family fun day held by Somerset Skills and Learning. They’re offering a fun-filled day of crafts, music and art workshops plus an opportunity to bring a picnic lunch. It’s sure to be a fantastic day out!

Pro Coaching Easter multi-activity camp – 8th-11th April

childrenDive into a world of sports egg-citement while enjoying the added bonus of creative crafting, including bracelet making. Includes multi-sports games and skills, dedicated craft station, nutritious lunch and swimming. There are a few HAF places left for this camp, so if your child is in receipt of free school meals, you can sign them up for a free HAF space here.

The Pod Easter Scrapstore – 9th April, 1:30pm – 4:30pm

The Pod are running another fantastic pop-up scrapstore during the Easter holidays. Easter fun for all guaranteed, family friendly. Everything you need for art, craft and play activities – stock up on craft cupboard/drawer/box supplies! Entry is £1, children under 12 go free. Make sure to bring your bag for life for all of your scrapstore finds.

Little Mix & Taylor Swift Pop & Dance Workshop

Tiff at Danceworks will be running a “Pop & Dance” workshop on Wednesday 10th April for children school year 2 and over. An awesome opportunity to come and learn some routines to “Little Mix” and “Taylor Swift”.

Frome Families for the Future at 42 Acres

Join Caroline your guide for an immersive nature walk. We’ll be going completely off-piste, so be sure to bring your wellies and your sense of adventure!

Together, we’ll search for evidence of wildlife including footprints and poo! You might even see signs of animals that were once thought to be extinct in the UK – including beavers and wild boar.
