Pick Your Own Pumpkins – throughout October

Head to Palette and Pasture’s new Pumpkin Patch where you can have up to 2 hrs in the pumpkin patch to pick as many pumpkins as you like!

Witches Brew Halloween Trail – throughout October

Witches Brew halloween trail posterPay a visit to the Hope Nature Centre and help their resident Witch make her next potion!

Explore the animal park and find all the missing potion ingredients on her map.

Venture into the Witches house and see if you can spot her at home!

Beckington Scarecrow Trail – 22nd-30th October

Beckington scarecrow trail 2022 posterFriends of Beckington First School present their 7th Annual Scarecrow Trail! This year’s theme is sidekicks.

Trail Maps and answer sheets are available at The Woolpack, Mes Amis, The Foresters Arms and The Bell at Standerwick.

‘Most Wanted’ Trail at Haynes Motor Museum – 22nd-31st October

spider web over carsHelp to find all the Museum’s ‘Most-Wanted’ spooktacular characters in a brand-new kid’s trail.

From spooky spiders to a wicked witch. Make your way around the Museum, keeping an eye out for the characters and ticking them off as you go for a reward at the end.

Apple Day at the Newt – 22nd & 23rd October

A two-day celebration of all things apple; from juice pressing to apple games, displays, recipes, cyder tastings and tractor tours through the orchards.

Expect live music and DJs, apple-themed menus as well as the Newt’s ever-popular hog roasting on a spit over fire for the carnivores!

Felting Workshops – 25th – 27th October

Felt puppetJoin local felt artist Bessie Bidder for a chance to try your hand at felting.

Choose from three different workshops – felt picture; hand puppets and Needle-felted dog finger puppet!

East Somerset Railway Spooky Specials – 29th & 30th October

'spooky specials'Embark on a spine-tingling journey by steam to Mendip Vale and be prepared to be spooked and scared in a ghostly carriage!

Back at the station find your way round the ghoulish trail!

Pumpkin Day and Halloween Harvest Swap – 30th October

Pumpkin-Day-and-Halloween-Harvest-Swap posterThis is an Autumn version of the much loved Potato Day and Seed Swap featuring a Gardeners Market, plants, seeds, local foods and workshops to feed the mind.

There will also be pumpkin carving (donation for the pumpkin) and Halloween Activities for the kids and adults… and an opportunity to bring your excess harvest to swap or share with our growing community.

Not So Scary Halloween Party – 30th October

Join the spooky fun at the annual Children’s Halloween Party, at the Assembly Rooms. There will be a disco provided by PDJ Disco, lots of party dances and best Halloween Costume Competition.

Children’s tickets are £8.50, adults are free. Each child will receive a gift to take home

Family Halloween Party – 31st October

Halloween party poster23 Bath St is hosting a spooktacularly eerie Halloween party for free!

Enjoy free arts and crafts, a UV disco, tricks and treats, face painting, zombie table football and lots more.
