Isabella Tree: Wilding

6th Apr 2019 @ 15:00 - 16:30

£7

Isabella Tree is an award-winning travel writer and author, married to the conservationist Sir Charles Burrell. Her bestselling and critically acclaimed book Wilding tells the amazing story of their daring wildlife experiment: the rewilding of Knepp Estate in West Sussex.

Forced to accept that intensive farming on the heavy Sussex clay was economically ruinous, they decided to step back and let nature take over.

In less than twenty years, wildlife has rocketed and numerous endangered species have made Knepp their home. The Knepp experience challenges conventional ideas about our past and present landscape, and points the way to a wilder, richer future-countryside that benefits farming, nature and us.

The talk will include a Q&A and a signing. Copies of Wilding will be available to buy on the night.

Please note: There is no onsite parking at the venue, but there are two public car parks at a very short distance’s walk.

Tickets are £7 and available through the buy tickets link or by calling 01373 473111, emailing winstonebooks3@gmail.com, popping into the shop in Frome.
