Future Shed Friday – Art Materials Give / Take Project

May 17 @ 10:00 - 11:30

Future Shed Fridays – A welcoming, weekly space to help bring green and healthy initiatives to fruition.

In this Future Shed we are designing an art materials swap project.

Booking only available on Eventbrite: click here

A while ago, with the input of local artist Amy Yates, we started cooking up a project that we nicknamed an ‘Art Amnesty’. We know that people have lots of unused art materials in their houses – Xmas presents never opened, over purchased stock, under used paints and paper. We want to renergise all these materials through an art materials give and take project in Frome. Kids need art materials. Artists need art materials. Everyone needs art materials!

Sounds like fun? Come and join us for this hour and a half meet. We will be planning the project:

  • how and where to collect the donated / given art materials
  • design the call out
  • plan the take away and the redistribution of art materials

We’re aiming to run this project over the summer in Frome. We’d love your support to get it going.

There’s a warm and friendly welcome, free drinks and snacks!

Come to Edventure’s Welshmill Hub for a 10am start.

Future Shed is part of Green & Healthy Frome, a partnership programme of Edventure Frome, Frome Medical Practice and Frome Town Council taking action on health and climate funded by the National Lottery’s Climate Action Fund.

Future Shed is part of Edventure Frome.

Future Shed is about ideas and connections, collectives and enterprise – we are cooking up ideas and ventures to make real change around climate and wellbeing. This is a space to meet up, connect and build relationships to effect change. Come with your own idea, or join someone else’s. It doesn’t matter what stage you’re at, whether you’re already in the thick of a venture or just toying with an idea, or you’re passionate about making a difference but not sure where to start? Everyone’s welcome.

Future Shed timings & options:

The Edventure Hub is Edventure’s professional shared workspace and community venue. It includes The Cave meeting room and Remakery Frome – a community workshop for fixers, makers and do-ers. Sadly, the Hub is impossible to access for wheeled users, and we apologise for this. This is due to the age and design of the building.
