Fringe Event Programme:

  • 5th April : Festival Director James Godman introduces the fringe season with a selection of short climate films.
  • 12th April : Eco Poetry : Film Everyone Deserves to Bloom, followed by an evening of poetry about the natural world, led by poets Karen Dews and Mike Grenville.
  • 19th April : What Then Must We Do (Tolstoy) Eco anxiety and how to cope with the metacrisis. Led by philosopher/lecturer and eco builder Graham Burgess and Katy Kent from the Climate Café.
  • 26th April : Wild-Hearted Vegan : Mandy Griffiths (Wardrobe Collective/XR) introduces the film Rowdy Girl about a Texan beef farmer turned vegan.
  • 3rd May : Making A Film : filmmakers Charly le Marchant (Wood for the Trees series) and animator Tem Gunawardena (The Field and The Gaia Foundation) talk about the process of making a film, from idea to broadcast.
  • 10th May : Screening of Wonders of the Celtic Deep Ep4 by One Tribe TV – Dale Templar Founder MD with Q&A.
