Konnichiwa! Welcome to Hakkō House, where tradition meets innovation, born in the wonderful home town of Somerset’s Frome. They’re not just a Japanese restaurant; authenticity is their heartbeat, bringing you recipes passed through generations of ancestors.

At Hakkō House, family is the core of everything they do. Their eldest daughter proudly claims the self-titled role of ‘Chief Taster,’ a testament to the generations of their family where food is not just cooked and eaten, but lovingly developed over the years, creating a tapestry of flavours that has defined what they do.

From their roots starting as a Friday night takeaway to conquering markets, festivals, and catering for private events, hosting pop ups and supper clubs, Hakkō House has always been a labour of love.

Sushi boxes for takeaway collection

Aside from their restaurant at Marston Park, Hakkō House produce authentic sushi boxes which are as beautiful as they are delicious. They use the finest ingredients they can source including sustainable salmon, local smoked trout, organic tofu & more. They can accept orders until midnight the evening before collection. Collection is Frome’s Saxonvale 7 Kings Street (antique shop) between 4-5.45pm. Please note that they regrettably we cannot accommodate late pick ups.
