Purple Elephant Summer Holiday Family Activities

Purple Elephant have a lot of activities for families to choose from during the summer holidays. Please see more details below and email Rebecca on rebeccaharrison@purpleelephant.org.uk to book your places. Please book onto just one session each week and specify your first and second choices – if any sessions don’t fill up they will come back and offer you more.

Purple Elephant activities are open to families in need who live in Frome and surrounding villages, and any family in Somerset if you have additional needs.

• Friday 25th July*, 10am – 1pm: Arts and Crafts with Nature – New Road Park, Hillside Drive, Frome, BA11 5AS
• Wednesday 30th July*, 2pm – 5pm: Arts and Crafts plus bulb planting to take home! – Rossetti House Care Home, Welshmill Lane, Frome, BA11 2AA
• Thursday 31st July, 10am – 1pm: Family Cookery – Holy Trinity Church Hall, Trinity Street, Frome, BA11 3DE
• Friday 1st August*, 10am – 1pm: Visit to Twinnies Petting Farm (walk alpacas, groom animals, scavenger hunt, play with guinea pigs and rabbits, collect eggs and much more – transport available) – Twinnies Petting Farm, Stoney Stratton, Evercreech, Shepton Mallet, BA4 6DX
• Wednesday 6th August*, 10am – 2pm: Fun in Welshmill Woods, walk, games and an allotment visit – Meet outside Frome Library, Justice Lane, Frome, BA11 1BE
• Thursday 7th August, 10am – 1pm: Family Cookery – Holy Trinity Church Hall, Trinity Street, Frome, BA11 3DE
• Friday 8th August*, 10am – 4pm: Visit to WOLT at Thoulstone Park (kayaking, climbing, archery and much more – transport available, adults must be present, suitable for aged 5+) – Thoulstone Park, Westbury, BA13 4AQ
• Wednesday 13th August*, 2pm – 5pm: River Fun with scavenger hunt, pollution awareness, walk and play in the park – Rodden Meadow via Willow Vale, Frome, BA11 2EA
• Thursday 14th August*, 10am – 1pm: Dancing and games with Mojo Moves with arts and crafts – The Key Centre, Feltham Lane, Frome, BA11 5AJ
• Thursday 14th August*, 2pm – 5pm: Small arts and crafts session with support from Neurodiverse Frome – The Key Centre, Feltham Lane, Frome, BA11 5AJ
• Friday 15th August*, 10am – 1pm: Accessible Multisports – Victoria Park, Weymouth Road, Frome, BA11 1HJ
• Wednesday 20th August*, 2pm – 5pm: Accessible Multisports – Victoria Park, Weymouth Road, Frome, BA11 1HJ
• Thursday 21st August*, 10am – 1pm: Arts and Crafts – Holy Trinity Church Hall, Trinity Street, Frome, BA11 3DE
• Friday 22nd August*, 9am – 12pm: Bouldering with arts and crafts – Frome Boulder Rooms, The Cotton Works, Vallis Road, Frome, BA11 3EN

All activities marked with a ‘*’ include a free Fair Frome meal that will be served at the session.

Booking is essential for any of the activities listed above. Please email rebeccaharrison@purpleelephant.org.uk to book a place, or ask your school or support worker to refer you.

Adults must accompany and remain responsible for their children at all times.

Family support workers are available at all sessions.

There is a suggested donation of £2 per child unless otherwise specified.
