What’s on this October Half Term

With both Half Term and Halloween just around the corner, we’ve brought together a wide variety of spooky events and not-so-spooky activities, in and around Frome to help keep the family entertained. Here’s a selection of what’s on…

Pick Your Own Pumpkins (PYOP!) – throughout Octoberpumpkins

Palette and Pasture’s pumpkin patch returns this year – book your tickets and make the most of your 2 hour time slot! Tickets are only £1, the pumpkin patch is open every weekend, and will also be open every day from Friday 20th October – Sunday 29th October.

Eastcote Farm organic pumpkin picking are also back for their second year, after success with their organic pumpkin patch. Be sure to book a timeslot – they are also open every weekend, as well as from Saturday 21st October through until Sunday 29th October.

Booking is essential for entry to both patches, so be sure to book your space to avoid pumpkin disappointment.

Liberty Gymnastics Club October Half Term Fun Days – 24th-26th October

Sign up your school-aged child for a Liberty Gymnastics Fun Day! Available on three dates, the fun day will involve lots of play and high energy activities to tire those kids out. From gymnastics to arts and crafts to games, what better way to keep them entertained this half term?

You must book a space on a fun day in order to participate. See the link above for more information, prices and timings.

Multisports Fun in Victoria Park – 24th October

Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership are holding multisports fun in Victoria Park during the half-term holidays.

Free and open to all abilities and ages.

Free Tennis in Frome – 24th October

Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership are also providing free tennis during half-term – this event takes place after Multisports Fun in Victoria Park, so why not make a day of it?

Free access to Frome Leisure Centre for children aged 11-16 – 25th October

Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership are providing free access to Frome Leisure Centre AstroTurf pitch and sports hall as part of their half-term holiday events. If you or anyone you know are aged 11-16 and looking for ways to keep busy and active during half-term, simply turn up to the pitch or sports hall on Wednesday 25th October from 10am-2pm.

October Half Term Camp – Football – 27th October Close up for footballer's feet

As the final installation of their half-term events, Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership are hosting a Frome Football Camp. Children aged 5-12 are encouraged to take part, with free registration as well as lunch and drinks provided.

Kids Halloween Party – 27th October

Join Frome Town United Football Club for a ghoulish evening of apple bobbing, pumpkin designing, best fancy dress-ing, Halloween games-ing, dancing and eating!

Triple Treat Halloween Party – 28th October

Join Frome Rugby Football Club for the ‘Triple Treat’ on October 28th for the Annual Halloween Party, alongside showing the the World Cup Final and hosting live band ‘Hair of the Dog’.

Halloween Night – fundraiser for Frome & District Cats Protection – 28th October

Join Frome & District Cats Protection for a fun-filled evening and help raise funds for their branch. The night will consist of a DJ, a raffle & fancy dress competition.

Any money raised from this events will go towards looking after the cats in the care of their branch.

Danceworks Halloween Musical Theatre Workshop – 29th October

Danceworks will be running a Halloween-themed musical theatre workshop on Sunday 29th October for children reception age and over.

You will have the opportunity to learn some Halloween songs and learn some spooky moves!

Not So Scary Halloween Party – 29th October

Party dancing with PDJ Disco. Cold buffet for the children. Prize for best Halloween costume. All children go home with a gift. Bar open for hot and cold refreshments. Well behaved adults go free!
