New play from the writer of over 600 episodes of BBC Radio 4’s The Archers

Not far from Frome, the Warminster, The Athenaeum is host to an upcoming play written by The Archer’s Graham Harvey. The play is true tale of an unlikely Cotswold hero and an enduring romance.

What inspires a young Somerset land girl to set off in search of a best selling author in the darkest days of war? The production moves between the 1940s and the current day, reflecting that our relationship with the land and issues of national identity, are timeless. The show features new live music performed by award winning composer, Alastair Collingwood, composer of numerous TV and West End scores.

Graham Harvey will be taking part in an after-show conversation where he will discuss the issues in the play…and all things Ambridge!

The show is supported using public funding by Arts Council England. See The Athenaeum’s website at http://www.theath.org.uk/ for more details.
