Events Calendar Round-up: October 2023

October is almost upon us along with the first half-term holiday of the school year, so fill up your calendar with fun things to do as the new season sets in and keep those kids busy!

What’s on throughout October

1st October – Frome Independent Market

We welcome back the ever-popular Frome Independent Market to our streets, with an abundance of fresh seasonal produce, homeware and garden goods, jewellery, artwork, live music, good food and much more.

2nd – 7th October – The Woodlanders Variety Show

Committed to entertaining and delighting audiences since 1977, the Woodlanders return with another jam-packed Variety Show, running from the preview night on Monday 2nd October until their final show on Saturday 7th October.

8th October – Multicultural Frome

Frome’s ever-popular Multicultural Festival returns this year to the Cheese and Grain, with local people from around the globe sharing and celebrating their cultures. Including music and dance, language games, food and drink to try and buy and much more.

13th October – Earth to Sky – Domenic DeCicco, Candida Valentino & Michael Ormiston in concert

Domenic DeCicco, Candida Valentino & Michael Ormiston will be performing music from a selection of their albums and join each other for various pieces. The evening will feature Native American Flutes, Mongolian Khöömii Overtone Singing, Morin Khuur Mantra, Himalayan Singing Bowls, gongs, heartfelt songs, acoustic guitar, Indian Chakra Shlokas and much more.

20th-21st October – LE NAVET BETE presents KING ARTHUR

Genius Kings of Comedy, physical theatre stunners and all-round super-entertainers, Le Navet Bete, return to the stage with a brand-new comedy for the ages. This hilarious retelling of the Arthurian legends, suitable for the whole family, will have audiences crying with laughter.

27th October – October Half Term Camp – Football

Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership are hosting a Frome Football Camp this October half-term. Children aged 5-12 are encouraged to take part, with free registration as well as lunch and drinks provided.
