Sauce For The Goose – Bristol Old Vic Theatre School

George Feydeau’s high spirited romp Sauce for the Goose is stuffed with preening characters knitting their legs in sexual frustration. It’s heady mix of passions, pace and pleasure are the perfect mix for a good night out. The plot is simple: Lucienne is being pursued by the married Pontagnac, who is astounded to discover that she is already married to his friend Vatelin. Lucienne has sworn to be faithful al long as her husband remains so too. But then a keen old ‘indiscretion’ of her husband’s arrives with her own husband from Germany in tow. Beds are swapped, infidelities deiscovered and everyone’s Goose is cooked good and proper!
