Rode Village Day

The day promises to be full of fun, with lots of things to entertain people of all ages. During the day we have a host of stalls selling lots of local produce, arts and crafts plus things from far and wide too. We have large inflatables, a dog show(hopefully), sports day races, tug of war, tractor rides, clay pigeon shoot, face painting, a beer tent (boasting a HUGE selection of ales – i.e. our very own beer festival inside our village festival!), live music .. and much more!
In the afternoon live music from two village bands – The Daisy Ukes & Frank’s Band, an open mic hour hosted by our very own Jarred Christmas. We are in talks with several sporting committees locally and hope to have some Rugby & Cricket masterclasses, plus a tai chi demonstration and children’s fun dance class. The evening becomes a ticketed event, with a fantastic live band, beer and cider tent, pimms & prosecco bar & disco brining the fantastic day to a close around midnight. .. phew!

The day will be raising funds to put back into this wonderful village of ours .. the profits will be shared between Rode Playing Field, Rode Scouts, Friends of Rode School ( FORS) & Rode Pre School.

In order for the day to be a success we are calling upon businesses for sponsorship along with lots of hands to help throughout the day from the villagers! We have been very lucky with volunteers which we are very grateful for. We are asking for sponsorship in return for being advertised in our program, a place on our flyers and banners
