Poems and songs written in the dust with Vicki Burke and Rebecca Brewin – An evening to listen, absorb and see the world with fresh eyes.

Two Frome based performer’s poet Rebecca Brewin and singer songwriter Vicki Burke have joined forces to present an astonishingly beautiful evening of poems and songs. The duo who are close friends have combined their talents producing a performance that is described as being two artists on a journey into the darkest places where the greatest riches can be found.

Vicki is best known as the saxophone player and backing vocalist with bands such as Fat Stanley and Bristol band Flash Harry, her work as a harpist and songwriter is less known in her adopted home town. The performance at The Three Swans features songs from her forthcoming album. Rebecca is already established in the Frome poetry scene. Having been awarded Poet Laureate for the Frome Festival 2014, she is known for producing powerful and enthralling poems that capture the drama of life, love and exploration of the body, reflecting her work as a respected yoga teacher. The combination of harp, song and poetry promises to be something very special.
