Local cancer charity We Hear You (WHY) is waving a team off on a trek in Iceland in March. To raise sponsorship for their trip, the trekkers, who include WHY CEO Lucy Kitchener and Fundraising Manager Ruth Knagg, are hosting their third jumble sale since September, on Saturday 4th February at Frome Masonic Hall, North Parade, from 10.30 till 1.
Chief executive of WHY Lucy Kitchener said, “People can expect lots of good quality and clean clothes, toys and teddies, bric-a-brac, shoes and books plus home-made cake, tea and coffee all at extremely reasonable prices. And we encourage people to bring a bag they can fill!”
Entry to the jumble sale costs 50p and there will be a range of hot and cold drinks and cakes on sale at the event.
All proceeds will be donated to We Hear You for its free specialist counselling and emotional support services for children, adults and families who have been affected or bereaved by a life-threatening condition, such as cancer.
We are in the process of redeveloping the Discover Frome website, and invite you to share your views on the current site with us.
