These courses will be held around Freshford, a lovely little village on the outskirts of Bath.
We’ll meet at the Inn at Freshford, where the nearby riverside, hedgerows and woodland provide a mixed habitat for a range of wild foods to flourish throughout the year.
The course starts with a short introduction on what to look for and a brief of the Countryside Act.
Then we’ll set off on a roughly 2.5 hour walk around the local area, teaching you how to identify the different edible and poisonous plants and mushrooms that we find.
Along the way we’ll stop for some homemade refreshments; such as our lovely hogweed and wild garlic soup or elderflower champagne.
Then it’s back to the pub for a wild food lunch based on what we have found and some preprepared homemade treats.
After the course, we will email you a list of everything we talked about on the day to help you to remember what you have learnt.
Please see website for full details of times and further course dates at this venue.
