BEEKEEPING TASTER SESSION

Bees are vital for pollinating much of the food we eat, they also produce honey! Come along and explore the wonders of the honey bee. See inside a working beehive in a local Apiary. Identify Workers, Drones and hopefully the Queen bee. See developing bees in the comb as well as stored honey and pollen. Bee-suit and gloves provided but participants must wear wellies. Age 14+. Visitors may be taken on a short car journey to a nearby apiary. Activity not suitable for those with allergies to stings. All profits from this event will go to a Beekeeping charity.
