Short courses and workshops coming up in Frome

Art & Wellbeing Workshops

Part of the Wellbeing Through Art series of courses, these sessions will be held in the beautiful surroundings of Mells Walled Garden.

Explore how creativity can help with mental and emotional wellbeing and how the creative process can help calm, relax and support your mental wellbeing.

In these supportive and relaxed sessions, you will explore a range of artistic mediums and techniques that suit you. What better thing to do than explore your creativity in the midst of nature?

Course dates:

Friday 9th June, 9.30am-12pm – 5 weeks

Antenatal Classes, Pregnancy Yoga & Maternal Journal

SS&L have a range of antenatal classes in Frome to help you feel more confident and relaxed in the run-up to child birth.

Antenatal Classes – Wednesdays 7pm-9.30pm at Frome Town Hall.  Next 4 week courses start 7th June

Maternal Journal – Wednesdays 10am-11.30am at Frome Town Hall.  Next 4 week courses start 24th May; 21st June

Bonjour – French Improvers

This course is for anyone who would like to improve or develop their French language skills, learn about the French culture, and improve their confidence in speaking. You will explore some of the basic grammar to enable you to understand the main structure of the French language. You will also focus on the pronunciation to enable you to sound like a French native.

If you like a challenge, in a fun and relaxed environment, then come long to practice with a native French tutor.

Course dates:

Next 6 week course begins 6th June.

English Skills for Life Qualification (ESOL)

English Skills for Life (ESOL) is for you if English is not your first language. It’s an ideal course if you’re an adult and need to improve your English for work, further learning or everyday life.

You will develop your reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

On completion and passing of this course, you’ll receive a qualification and a certificate.

Classes take place on Thursday mornings, 10am-12pm at the SS&L centre on Palmer Street.
