Frome businesses offering virtual tours for customers
Google’s street view technology is no-longer just used for our streets, the technology now enables businesses of all shapes and sizes to showcase their services, products and offices with a 360-degree virtual tour. Many local businesses have signed up to this offer – so anyone can explore a high street shop, museum or restaurant which has signed up to highlight what they have to offer.
Andy Fletcher, from 360image based in Dilton Marsh, Westbury explains “As a Google Street View Photographer I pick up from where the Google Street View cars leave off. Meaning I bring Google Street View into businesses to showcase the best they have to offer. I photograph, build and publish a Google Street View tour to the business Google search results and Google Maps pin, a ‘see inside’ Street View tour to engage potential customers, showcase and promote the business.”
Businesses can also embed the tour directly into their own websites or Facebook page. Andy adds “I am also able to shoot professional still images which can also be uploaded to your Google search results. As well as showcasing the business on Google there can also be an SEO benefit for business having a Google tour.”

Frome based business Pencil, a design agency have recently had a Google 360-degree tour of their offices, which can be seen here. Director Luke Manning said “We believe that any work environment needs to have an element of fun and space to detach yourself from the standard ‘work mode’. Being able to free your mind allows it to function better, it’s in those moments of detachment that the best ideas are usually formed. We wanted to invite people into our space and see where we work. With the fireman’s pole and putting green we feel makes our studio a fun and inspiring space for those that work in it!
