The Cross Keys

A beautiful village inn, grade II listed and dating back to the 17th century. Up until 1962 the village of Rode was home to Fussels Brewery, the brewery site stood to the rear of The Cross Keys. After Fussels Brewery shut down, the site was home to a Bass Brewery & used as a bottling plant & distribution depot. The site was closed down in 1992 and sold off for housing development. The Cross Keys stood closed for many years until it was redeveloped and reopened as the village pub in 2003.

Since that time The Cross Keys has remained a favourite watering hole and dining rooms for the residence of Rode & surrounding areas. Mark & Hannah bought the business from Butcombe Brewery in 2015.
