Your Valentine’s weekend itinerary.♡

St Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and Frome has the perfect opportunity for you to celebrate (if you like to)! We’ve put together an example itinerary for how you and your loved one could spend a gorgeous, relaxing long weekend in Frome. Complete with eateries, places for drinks, and activities you can do together, there is so much that the town has to offer.

Your itinerary: Friday 13th February – Sunday 15th February

Friday
  • Whether you’re wondering how to celebrate after work, or are coming to Frome for a romantic getaway, settle into your Valentine’s weekend with dinner and drinks at Bistro Lotte, Castello, Little Walcot or The High Pavement.
  • Enjoy live music from talented local musicians from your pic of the town’s venuesbars and pubs often have live music nights too. See what’s on and what takes your fancy!
Saturday
  • Spend your Valentine’s morning at the markets in the town centre. Every Saturday welcomes a weekly market to the Cattle Market car park, and this particular Saturday the Frome Farmers’ Market joins them for a bumper market morning. The Little Pickles Market is also taking place inside the Cheese & Grain if you’re looking for pieces for little ones.
  • Stay in town for some flipping fun! Frome Town Council are hosting ‘Stacks of Love’ pancake dash, a free, family-friendly event complete with themed crafts, face painting, fresh crepes, a Valentine’s selfie booth and a whole host of pancake dashes through the town.
  • Recover from the afternoon’s craziness before heading out to witness the lighting of the Valentine’s lamp – the only working gas lamp in Somerset. This event has taken place for over 30 years and is a well-loved Frome tradition. Head to the lamp at 5:30pm on Catherine Street and feel the luuuuuv.
  • Take the feel-good vibes later into the night with a fantastic ceilidh, raising funds for Frome’s Missing Links, or Dance for Love at a soulful night of roots reggae and dub.
Sunday
  •  Have a lazy Sunday morning in Frome before a delicious brunch at Projects, Rye Bakery at RISE or the River House.
  • Spend the rest of your day wandering the town’s beautiful streets, doing a spot of shopping, enjoying our local green spaces or just soaking up the last of the weekend.

These are just a few suggestions of what you can do, where you can eat and drink, visit or do. Tailor your itinerary to suit you and spread the love. ❤️
