Events Calendar Round-Up: June 2025
Swiftly approaching is the joyous month of June, and Frome has so much on offer to make the most of the beginning of summer. Round up your friends, the family, your dog and get out there!

What’s on this June
Throughout the month: Frome Pride
June marks the third Pride Season for Frome, an annual celebration of LGBTQIA+ people run by the local community. Throughout the month, local businesses, creatives and residents will come together to display their appreciation for the LGBTQIA+ community. Expect a vibrant collection of social events, workshops, performances and more – click the link above for more information and events!
1st June: The Frome Independent Market
Visitors to the market can find contemporary craft, designer-made homewares, ethical clothing and jewellery, have a rummage through vintage nostalgia or browse indoor plants, gardenalia and homewares. Also enjoy fresh seasonal produce from local farmers, growers and producers, from bakes and pastries, to meats, chutneys and preserves.
This month the market will be hosting their very first Pride Youth Stage, including an inspirational line up of performers, speakers and community.
4th June: David Olusoga
In a brand-new talk for 2025 David examines some of history’s missing chapters to uncover how and why some events and some people are remembered and others forgotten. Taking examples from the world wars, the Industrial revolution and other pivotal moments in global history David uncovers history’s missing persons.
5th June: Trio Paradis – A Midsummer Night’s Dream
The music for Trio Paradis’ June concert is inspired by summer and dreams, and includes an arrangement of Dream Children by Elgar, Schubert’s beautiful Notturno, and music by Ivor Gurney, Faure, Madeleine Dring, Mendelssohn and Grieg.
7th – 15th June: Great Big Green Week
The Great Big Green Week is a nationwide event, celebrating our green spaces and highlighting the action local communities are taking to tackle climate change.
Frome’s nine day programme is packed full of a range of events and activities for all ages, including walks, talks, workshops, clothes swaps and lots more.
7th June: Frome Carnival Family Fun Day and Dog Show
Free entry and lots of stalls from local small businesses, groups and charities. There will be a bar, food and ice creams available as well as plenty of fun for all the family including the much loved train ride!
12th – 15th June: John Lawson’s Circus
John Lawsons circus are back with a bang for 2025! Featuring a truly global cast including high wire acts, trapeze artists, knife throwers, laser acts and much much more.
21st June: 7th Frome Faerie Fair
Come and enjoy a lovely day of fairy and fantasy fun at the seventh Frome Faerie Fair. There will be plenty of stalls selling magical things: hand-crafted fairies & accessories, fairy houses & doors, face painting, fantasy books, prints and cards… and a whole magical host more.
22nd June: Solstice Sauna
A guided sauna experience for Summer solstice at Wildcat Community Sauna. Experience a meditative sauna journey to welcome the summer and acknowledge the longest day and how we can bring some ritual around that info our lives through sauna and cold plunge experience.
26th June: Nature Talks – Every Garden Matters with Nicola Hope
Join us as we learn why every garden matters and how small gardens are helping to prevent biodiversity loss with Nicola Hope.
This talk is part of a series at Vallis Farm that focus on wildlife, biodiversity, sustainability, climate change and regenerative farming as part of an ongoing project.
28th June: Pick & Mix
New Old Friends (the ‘Crimes…’ series of comedy thrillers) present a little bit of everything: hilarious comedy, great music, stunning magic, breath-taking dance, and anything else that entertains. Pick & Mix is an exciting new variety night all tied together around an (optional) audience-led gameshow/quiz with real prizes!
