This May, Frome comes together for Frome Connects, a town-wide celebration of connection in all its forms.
Across the month, residents can expect a mix of uplifting messages, small moments, and fun activities popping up around town, all designed to celebrate connection in its many forms. It’s as much about noticing what’s already happening in Frome as it is about trying something new.
Highlights include the Coat of Hopes, a travelling patchwork of people’s stories, and the return of Dress Up Fridays, where everyone is encouraged to don their finest (or daftest) outfits. Look out too for a joyful Kate Bush flashmob, followed by church bells at St John’s Church playing Running Up That Hill.
The initiative builds on Frome’s strong community spirit and the work of Jenny Hartnoll and Dr Helen Kingston, often called The Frome Model. Jenny now continues this work through We Are Connectors, exploring how connection supports wellbeing. Joining her is Ginny Adams, founder of Mojo Moves, whose joyful, community-focused events have become a familiar part of Frome life.
So keep an eye out this May… you might find connection in unexpected places.
