24th July – 29th August: IG Sports Coaching Summer Camps
IG Sports Coaching are offering a huge range of fun-filled summer camps for kids over the school holidays. Check out the list linked above – expect to find camps of all kinds, from football, adventure golf and archery, to dance, cheerleading and becoming a ninja hero!
28th July – 1st August: Disney Danceweek 2025
Danceweek is open to all children (including non-Danceworks students) from reception age to 12 years old. This fun packed week will give children the opportunity to try many different genres of dancing including classical ballet, tap, hip-hop and musical theatre. We will have other activities including face painting and circus skills which are Danceworks favourites.
28th July – 8th August: Premier Education Multi-Activity Holiday Camp
At Premier Education Multi-Activity sessions, there’s never a dull moment! These sessions feature a simply massive selection of games and activities. They’re perfect for children who like to be active and on the move without playing traditional sports. This holiday camp has some HAF-funded spaces for children who receive free school meals.
28th July – 29th August: Pro Coaching Summer Activity Camps
Pro Coaching are running their Happy Healthy Holidays Programme at Frome Sport and Fitness this summer. They have a fun-filled itinerary planned, including swimming, arts and crafts, sports and various other activities, all paired with a hot lunch for the children. This holiday camp has some HAF-funded spaces available for children who receive free school meals or are in care.
28th July – 29th August: Frome Tennis Summer Camps
Coach Stephen Marcelle is holding tennis summer camps across the school holidays at Frome Tennis. Choose from sessions for beginners or all levels.
28th – 30th July: Mighty Girls Summer Club
Mighty Girls are thrilled to announce the return of their Summer Club this July, aimed at girls aged 8 – 13!
For three days, they will bring together mighty girls for an unforgettable experience filled with fun, craft, adventure, and empowerment.
30th July – 27th August: Frome YMCA Summer Youth Club Sessions
We will be offering a range of activities including cooking, crafts, gaming, sports and team games! Welcoming all young people aged 10 – 19. Lets all catch up, have fun and support each other.
30th July – 28th August: Shared Earth Learning Summer Holiday Sessions
Shared Earth Learning are offering summer holiday sessions for children and SEN children throughout the holidays. Sessions for children who do not require a SEN session are suitable for children aged 5 – 14 years. SEN sessions are open to children aged 7 – 18.
31st July – 1st August: Mendip Performing Arts Academy Summer Holiday Workshops
Mendip Performing Arts Academy are delighted to bring you their Holiday workshops – back by popular demand. Choose from a minis workshop, aimed at children aged 6 – 8, or midis which is aimed at those aged 9 – 15.
4th – 6th August: Sound Lab Summer Club
Sound Lab summer club is a music group for neurodiverse young people aged 14+.
Join us for a range of music-making activities using traditional instrumentation and music technology. No prior musical knowledge or experience required.
5th – 20th August: Summer Art Club
Love to Create are hosting a summer art club for children aged 7 – 12 years during the summer holidays.
Dive into a variety of art mediums, from painting to clay, in a fun, supportive and inspiring environment where kids can express themselves freely. Guided sessions with an experienced qualified art teacher. Make new friends and lasting memories!
6th – 7th August: Frome Summer Basketball Camp
Frome Fireballs Basketball Club are offering summer camp sessions for children aged school years 3 – 8. Includes a new basketball, coaching from southwest coach of the year, fun games and prizes.
6th – 27th August: Football Fun Camps
Football Fun Factory are back running Football Fun Camps during the summer holidays for kids aged 5 – 12. Register your child to take part in a truly unique football experience this school holiday! Your little football star will have the tine of their life, experiencing fun and exciting football inflatable activities.

19th July: Frome Carnival Family Funday and Dog Show
Frome Carnival Family Fun Day and Dog Show returns to Victoria Park on Saturday 19th July, 12-5pm.
Free entry and lots of stalls from local small businesses , groups and charities. There will be a bar, food and ice creams available as well as plenty of fun for all the family including the much loved train ride!
19th July: Phoenix Project Summer Gathering
Join the folk at Phoenix Project for an afternoon of music, food, fire and connection. This is a free, family-friendly gathering, celebrating summertime and the project’s establishment in its new home.
Bring something to sit on, something to share, and someone you love. This is for everyone — old friends and new ones, little ones and elders, all welcome in the circle.
21st July – 12th August: The Pod Summer Holiday Family Activities
The Pod are offering a wide range of fun, family-friendly activities over the course of the summer holidays. A taste of these events ranges from a trip for ice cream at Palette and Pasture, a day at the seaside, a beach party disco and more! Click the link above for more details.
22nd July: Frome Field 2 Fork – Somerset Food Trail
Come and enjoy a 30-metre feast on Tuesday 22nd July, cooked over the fire using super-fresh produce harvested from the land and deliciously simmered into mouthwatering dishes with Mahesh from Lungi Babas. Enjoy a hazy summer’s evening of feasting, exploring a beautiful, productive edible community garden, playing tunes around the fire or simply relaxing in the hammock to the gentle backdrop of birdsong.
25th July – 22nd August: Purple Elephant Summer Holiday Family Activities
Purple Elephant have a lot of activities for families to choose from during the summer holidays. Activities include arts and crafts sessions, family cookery, accessible multisports and much more. Click the link above for more details.
25th – 27th July: Born Adventurers
Born Adventurers is a 3 -day family festival packed with activities for the whole family, alongside plenty of restful spaces to relax and recharge.
Activities on offer are zipline, archery, treasure hunts, crafting, family yoga, and many more. Chilled areas include a woodland spa, a cosy cocktail bar, and tranquil retreats and nature walks, all hosted in a beautiful rewilding site just 10 minutes from Frome.
26th July: Nunney Fayre Day
Nunney Community Association presents Nunney Fayre Day 2025.
On 26th July, 10am – 5pm in Nunney village. There will be stalls, live music, food and drink, kids zone, dog show and more. Free entry and parking is £5.
27th July: Frome Children’s Festival 2025
The Children’s Festival is a free community event offering around 40 different activities for children and families to enjoy. Usually held at the Cheese and Grain through to Welshmill Park in the summer, the event includes activities such as forest school, storytelling, arts and crafts, music, sports, magic, fun science, theatre, sensory tent and much more.
29th July: Frome Journeyman – Boy’s Circle
Open to all men and boys interested in games, connection, exploring how we become the men we wish to be. Finding some magic and sharing our gifts. We have covered areas, a tree house, lots of space to play in and a welcoming fire circle.
Expect connection, games, hot drinks and some sharing. Everyone is welcome.
2nd August: 8th Frome Faerie Fair
In the heart of Frome the Faerie Fair unfolds like a dream. Enchanted stallholders weave their spells of wonder and delight. Glittering trinkets and mystical potions fill the stalls; each one a gateway to another world. A world of fairies, fantasy and magic.Every corner of the fair displays new and colourful delights. May your heart be filled with joy and your imagination brimming over with enchantment.
7th August: Art in the Park
Come and join Somerset Skills and Learning at the cafe in Victoria Park for a morning of amazing creative activities. Workshops are drop-in and suitable for children aged 3 – 8, so come and stay as long as you like. Make forest faces, decorate bunting, create your own magic wands and garlands to take home and more.
7th August: Trio Paradis family concert: planes, trains & automobiles
Trio Paradis play a café concert on the first Thursday of each month at Christ Church. August’s concert is for all the family and includes music about trains, helicopters, planes and other modes of transport. Bring a bicycle bell or a shaker if you’d like to join in!
7th, 14th, 21st and 28th August: Family Yoga and Nature Connection at 42 Acres
Join us at 42 Acres this Summer Holidays for Family Yoga and Nature Connection, a beautiful 2 hour session designed to deepen connection and create core memories. Choose from four sessions throughout the month.
8th August: Story Explorers: Where the Wild Things Are
Following the classic story by Maurice Sendak, you and your little one(s) can listen to the story, enjoy some related making and crafting with a variety of materials and play some simple role-play games. Explore the pages of this favourite children’s story book together and “let the wild rumpus start!”
10th August: Riverside Cleanup – Walking Festival 2025
Join Frome Families for the Future for a family-friendly riverside litter pick! We will litter pick along Welshmill, through Welshmill wood and continue to Weylands, to help out the animals that live near the river. All litter-picking equipment provided.
12th August: Sensory Art for Neurodivergent Families
Join us for a low-pressure, fun, sensory art session where your child can let loose, explore colours, textures and shapes, and simply enjoy creating. Connect through creativity with no rules or expectations.
14th August: Family Felting: Summer Flowers
Would you like to spend time crafting with your pre-teen children this holiday?
Celebrate the beauty of summer flowers by making your own permanent felt bouquet together.
Using wet felting to create stems and flowers, combining colours and style for your own unique bouquet.
15th August: Story Explorers: Tabby McTat
Following the well-loved story by Julia Donaldson, you and your little one(s) can listen to the story, try a variety of crafts and play search-and-find and simple role-play games. Sing along with Tabby McTat and Samuel Sprat, exploring this favourite children’s story book together.
15th August: Canteen
Canteen is a pay-what-you-can community restaurant serving affordable, delicious and nutritious food. The next Canteen pop-up is at Victoria Park on Friday 15th August, 5pm – 7pm. No reservation needed, just pop along any time from 5pm. Food is served up to 7pm, or until it runs out. Families welcome!
17th August: Raving Rascals – summer time rave
Looking for something cool and wicked to do with the kids this summer? We’ve got you covered!
Join us at Rook Lane Chapel for a high-energy summer timer rave designed for children, families, and ravers of all ages.
19th August: Nature Crafts for Neurodivergent Families
Join us this summer for a relaxed nature crafts workshop where you can scavenge for natural objects and transform them into beautiful creations. This session is inclusive and relaxed with limited numbers so you can enjoy tailored content and more time with your tutor.
21st August: Family Nature Crafts Workshop
Combine a scavenger hunt, nature crafts, and ideas for attracting wildlife into your garden or local spaces, all in one relaxed family session. Share in your child’s sense of wonder as you explore nature together.
22nd August: Story Explorers: The Gruffalo
Come on a family learning adventure as we imagine ourselves strolling through the deep, dark wood with the mouse, the Gruffalo and their animal friends. With the Gruffalo story book as our guide, you and your little one(s) can follow the story through search and find, role play and craft activities, experiencing the Gruffalo in a brand new way.
23rd August: Kids Pet Care Party
Local charity Cats in Distress are fundraising for their cause, putting on a party for kids aged 5 – 10, and it’s all about pets!
Your child will have the chance to: adopt a cuddly toy, make and decorate collars and pet carriers, learn more about pets and much more.
