Young musicians from Frome College and Selwood Academy will fill Frome town centre with music once again on Saturday 13 June. The return of Frome Busks showcases the talents of young local musicians. From 11am – 2pm, musicians will work their way around town centre stages, including Boyle Cross, the Cheese and Grain and Catherine Hill, playing 15-minute live music sets.
Frome Busks gives young people a chance to get out in public, play and sing, as well as other students learning how to set up for live music events. The town-wide showcase raises funds for the Frome College music department, ensuring that they can provide more opportunities for their young musicians, buy equipment and make music in many forms accessible for their students.

Frome Busks 2026 lineup
Band stage:
The Shrink – a group from a mix of years who enjoy spending their spare time in the music department. Their dynamic performance promises to be one not to miss!
Sam – a music technology student, Sam is an excellent pianist and will be performing a solo set of Blues and Jazz
Paris Blue – a mixture of students from year 13, Paris Blue are a contemporary jazz ensemble performing a range of covers and originals with elements of improvisation and solos. Flute, drums, bass, keys and guitar
Fluffy and the Jars – a post punk band from year 11! They’ll be blowing away the stress of exams and bring a high energy set to the streets of Frome
Christian – a rock/metal guitarist, Christian will be bringing a high energy set with soaring solos to wake up Frome on a Saturday morning!
Buskers:
Syd – year 12 A Level music technology student will be singing and playing guitar performing a range of pop/rock covers
Dora – year 11 singer/songwriter, who recently starred in our musical in Feb! Dora is a brilliant singer and will be performing a range of pop/theatre covers
Miri – singer/songwriter currently studying both music and music tech, Miri will perform a range of acoustic covers
Joe – singer songwriter from Westbury performing a number of his own compositions in an indie style
Annie – a talented year 9 singer performing a range of pop tunes accompanied by her dad on guitar
Alexa – year 13 singer/songwriter singing a range of pop covers whilst demonstrating her skill on guitar
Lula – year 10 and returning for her second year at Frome Busks! Lula is an incredible hand drum percussionist!
Selwood Showcase – this year a number of Selwood students will be joining us on the busking circuit!
