Corn dolly making workshop

Come and spend an enjoyable day learning how to make corn dollies.

We will look at and discuss images and examples, and then start learning some simple plaits and techniques, which can be quite meditative to do! Everyone should create a couple of dollies to take away with them at the end of the day.

Class size will be limited to a maximum of 8 people, to ensure that everyone gets plenty of individual attention.

The course costs £65, which includes full tuition, all materials, use of tools, and tea, coffee and homemade cake mid morning. You will need to bring lunch, or treat yourself to something from Loud Mouth cafe on site.

This workshop is an introduction to corn dolly making, and is suitable for beginners and improvers.

Tutor Rebecca Board has over twenty years experience of making baskets in a variety of natural materials, and teaching her craft. She will guide you through the weaves and techniques on the day.
