This moderate 2-mile walk will visit Frome’s Commonwealth War Graves. There are over 50 Commonwealth War Graves Commissions (CWGC) graves in Frome – dates range from 1915 to 1947. They are located in St John’s, Holy Trinity, Vallis Rd. (Dissenters) and Christ Church – the walk will visit these locations and complete at the Frome Memorial Theatre which houses the Town War Memorial containing 224 names and is also the home of the well-known Charlie Robbins statue – a Great War veteran.
Dr Jim Clipson (Royal Navy veteran) will lead the walk – he has visited the 224 graves of the Great War men from Frome across Europe.
Unsuitable for children U12 and dogs – some steep and difficult sections so moderate fitness required.
