All England Theatre Festival Western Area: Final

Five winning companies from Somerset, Avon, Bristol and Totton perform their plays before an Experienced GoDA adjudicator who then gives constructive criticism of their productions. This will cover technical aspects such as lighting and sound, setting and costumes, as well as direction and acting.

The AETF – All England Theatre Festival – has festivals the length and breadth of England, and this year the winners of the Western Area Final will go to meet winners from the North, East and Central Areas at the English Final to be held at the Little Theatre, Leicester on 30 May. From there, the winner will go forward to the British Final to be hosted by Wales on 3 & 4 July at Theatre Clwyd in Mold.

See who will be coming to the Western Area Final at the Merlin Theatre. The groups can be well-established, experienced companies with regular venues, start-up groups who rehearse in front rooms or youth groups with their bounding energy!

7pm – 2 One Act Plays + Awards + 2 intervals
