Afro Cuban Beats – Sierra Sounds in Somerset

Deiya and Orun Kingdom are excited to be hosting another fantastic event at the Silk Mill taking you on a multi-sensory cultural experience through rhythm, heritage, flavours and ancestral memory.

An immersive night of music, song, visuals, and food celebrating Afro-Latino and Afro-Cuban culture and its West African roots. Joyful, educational, and reflective, this will be a night and space to celebrate culture while exploring its deeper meaning.

Food made from our talented Cuban chef Yayo will be served between 6pm – 8pm so please make sure to come and sample some of Santiago’s finest.

£8 – Vegetarian dish (rice, bean stew, fried plantain and salad)

£12 – Meat dish (rice, beans, fried plantain, meat dish and salad)

There will also be a special live guest performance by UK based Cuban singer Lando Lavarra.
