A concert of 17th Century Italian Music

Cornettist Helen Roberts (of His Majesty’s Sagbutts and Cornetts) brings together a team of leading historical performers for a concert of music from the chapels, convents and chambers of the early Italian Baroque. Joyful devotional music meets anguished heartbreak in this emotional journey exploring repertoire from Claudio Monteverdi, Alessandro Grandi, Claudio Merulo, Lucrezia Orsini Vizana, Claudia Rusca and many more. Helen will be joined by Zoe Brookshaw (soprano), Aileen Henry (harp), and Toby Carr (lute and theorbo) for this afternoon coffee concert in aid of the Christ Church Future project.
