Civic Imaginaries of Frome: Children, Teens and Young People drop-in activities

Join us at Westway Shopping Centre for a fun, informal drop-in event for children, teenagers, young people and their families. This is an exciting chance to share your thoughts, ideas and feelings about Frome and its future.

There will be free activities for all ages, including:

  • Bean bag throwing games
  • Weaving on the community loom
  • Creative ways to share what you think about life in Frome

Researchers are especially keen to hear from children, teenagers and young people about their favourite places in Frome and how they feel about the town. You’re welcome to drop in for as little or as long as you like – everyone is invited to take part in the activities at the heart of the Westway Shopping Centre.

This event is a collaboration between the Civic Imaginary Partnerships project and local artists Claire Orpin and Tamara Jones. Civic Imaginary Partnerships is a four-year research project led by the University of Glasgow, exploring how people think, feel, dream and sense the futures of the places where they live. Our partners in Frome are Frome Town Council and Edventure. You do not need to give your name or any personal information to take part. All responses are anonymous, and the results will be used to inform the project’s research. Feel free to speak to the research team if you’d like to know more (civicimaginaries@glasgow.ac.uk)
