Hope for Nature: Why Rewilding Matters (online)

Already think of yourself as an avid rewilder — or not even sure what rewilding means? Either way, you’re welcome to join this engaging introduction to rewilding with Jan Stannard, co-founder and CEO of Heal.

We know that we need rewilding. England is one of the most nature-depleted countries ranking 234th in the world for its state of nature and one in six species are threatened with extinction. For us, rewilding means giving nature what it needs to heal. Trees and wildflowers flourish, wildlife comes back in abundance and vulnerable species begin to recover.

In this session Jan will talk about the key principles of rewilding, discuss the approach taken by Heal and consider the very real impact upon nature, climate change and our own wellbeing. She will also look at how these principles can translate into smaller spaces including gardens.
