The George is a historic 14th-century Grade I listed Tudor inn, located in the heart of Norton St. Philip, near Frome.
Having recently undergone a full makeover and preservation project, The George offers beautiful decor and furnishings alongside many original features and antiques from the inn’s fascinating past.
With a history dating back to 1397, The George is one of Britain’s oldest taverns, offering 13 charming newly decorated ensuite bedrooms – the perfect base to explore the Somerset surroundings.
On the menu, their focus is seasonal, locally sourced produce and exciting takes on pub classics, with a cracking selection of award-winning Butcombe beer behind the bar.
Outside you can relax and unwind in their beautiful beer garden, with spectacular views across Norton St Philip and the surrounding countryside.
