RYE Bakery & Pizzeria

We specialise in sourdough breads and handmade pastries, using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. Our bread and pastry team works meticulously and with care to provide great bread and pastries to the people of Frome, our café, and beyond.

In 2019, we moved RYE Bakery production to a unit by Frome train station after outgrowing the kitchen at RYE Bakery Café. Since then, we’ve grown into a full retail bakery offering bread, coffee, pastry, sandwiches and more. At the back of the bakery, you’ll find our small mill, where our bakers mill our own flour using organic grains sourced from trusted, and when possible, local suppliers.

Shortly after opening, we began casual pizza nights. People gathered in the car park, sitting on pallets, drinking natural wine while their kids played together. The nights became so popular that a few years ago we built a large wood-fired oven at the station and opened a proper pizzeria.

The RYE Bakery & Pizzeria is open Tuesday – Sunday. We have inside and heated outdoor spaces, and can accommodate large bookings and parties. Check out our calendar for regular events and DJs at the RYE Wine Bar next door.
