A free workshop (thanks to National Lottery funding!) to help you figure out what kind of organisation you want to be
If you’ve ever heard terms like CIO, CIC or Community Benefit Society and felt bewildered, or if you’d like to understand the difference between running a charity and a social enterprise, this session is for you.
What does your organisation need to be? What are the options for you, whether you’re a small team or an emerging community group?
You’ll discover:
– The different types of structures for organisations and community groups
– The key benefits and essentials of each
– How informal networks and groups work, including the pros and cons of different approaches – especially when considering climate, wellbeing and environmental goals
– Local services and support available to help you take your next steps
Whether you’re already navigating these questions within your group, or you simply want to understand more about the structures and models out there for the future, you’re very welcome. There’ll be plenty of time for questions and open discussion.
This session is led by Ruth Knagg, professional coach and fundraiser. Ruth works as a coach for Edventure’s Future Shed, supporting individuals and groups with their ideas, needs, and aspirations.
Who is this for:
– Anyone in Frome and the surrounding communities
– Anyone aged 16+
We’re able to run this session for free thanks to National Lottery funding, so take the opportunity while you can!
