The Cabinet of Dr Caligari (1920) – Silent Film with Organ Improvisation

Arguably the first true horror film, The Cabinet of Dr Caligari tells the story of a sinister hypnotist who uses a somnambulist, Cesare, to commit murders in a town defined by distorted, nightmarish sets. Returning for an annual highlight of the Frome Festival programme, organist David Bednall, one of Europe’s finest improvisers, will provide the musical accompaniment for a late-night screening of this cinematic masterpiece.

This event is part of Frome Festival.
