Stolen Moments

Do you ever feel that even your weekends are too busy and demanding? That you need time out, just to relax? Stolen Moments is a new kind of jazz event. A late Saturday afternoon interlude in the liminal space between day and evening. True down time, in a beautiful church, to do nothing but enjoy exquisite modern jazz and delicious cakes.

Tickets are not necessary and entry is free. A donation afterwards (which contributes to church funds) is optional. Just come along to Christ Church, Frome from 3-5pm (doors 2:30pm) any second Saturday of the month except for July and August. The concerts are informal occasions and you are welcome to drop in and out. Refreshments are available as well as cushions for the pews!

12-Sep-26: Stolen Moments – West Coast Cool. Understated magic and gentle lyricism from 1950s California, featuring Keith Harrison-Broninski (piano) with Jake McMurchie (sax) and Nick Pini (double bass).

10-Oct-26: Stolen Moments – Expect Anything. Ambient explorations in the wonderful Christ Church acoustic, featuring Keith Harrison-Broninski (piano) with Steve Mathers (sax) and Andy Keep (electric bass, electronics).

14-Nov-26: Stolen Moments – Meeting at Crossroads. At the intersection of celtic music, bluegrass, and jazz, featuring Keith Harrison-Broninski (piano) with Martin Kolarides (guitar) and Pete Maxfield (double bass).

12-Dec-26: Stolen Moments – Welcome, Yule! Ancient tunes transmuted into something new and strange, featuring Keith Harrison-Broninski (piano) with John Law (piano).

09-Jan-27: Stolen Moments – Arctic Echoes. Eerie, compelling music from Orkney and the Shetlands, featuring Keith Harrison-Broninski (piano) with Laura Jurd (trumpet).

13-Feb-27: Stolen Moments – Chansons d’Amour. Great songs of love and loss from the French tradition, featuring Keith Harrison-Broninski (piano) with Rosanna Schura (vocals) and Nathan Mansfield (violin).

13-Mar-27: Stolen Moments – Cape Town Sounds. Uplifting songs and irresistible grooves from South Africa, featuring Keith Harrison-Broninski (piano) with John Martin (sax).

10-Apr-27: Stolen Moments – April in Paris. The impressionist innovations of Debussy, Ravel, and Satie, featuring Keith Harrison-Broninski (piano) with Iain Ballamy (sax).

08-May-27: Stolen Moments – Tango Delights. Beautiful tangos by, and inspired by, Astor Piazzolla, featuring Keith Harrison-Broninski (piano) with Mirek Salmon (bandoneón, accordion).
