Stolen Moments – Brazilian Magic

Stolen Moments is back on Saturday 13 September, with Brazilian Magic. We’ll be playing the magical bossa nova classics of Tom Jobim along with a few originals and favourite bossa nova standards – music ideally suited to the special ambience and acoustic of the Stolen Moments concerts.

The guest for these gorgeous songs is violinist, singer, and composer Azhaar Saffar. With 9 albums to her name, Azhaar made her reputation with the popular and internationally acclaimed Brazilian jazz group Sirius B, performing all over Europe, Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica and the USA, including at international jazz festivals such as Montreux , Mai Jazz, EFG London Jazz Festival, Brecon Jazz Festival, Birmingham Jazz Festival, Glastonbury Festival, Larmer Tree, One World, The Green Gathering, and our own Frome Festival. After a few years in Central America, Azhaar is now back in Frome with new bands and new music.
