Nature Safari

As part of the ‘Great Big Green Week’ we are holding a very special event to give you a chance to see Frome like you’ve never seen it before. We’ve partnered with Nick Patel, a local tour guide and conservationist from Wilder Skies to take you on a gentle walk along some very familiar sections of the river Frome, including Welshmill woods, Rodden meadow and Adderwell wetlands. Nick will highlight some of the incredible flora and fauna that can be found along the river. We’ll discover just how rich the habitats are along the river, throughout the town, and how they’re improving due to the conservation work currently going on from human and beaver help.

This event is for all those interested in learning more about our town’s amazing wealth of wildlife and for all ages and levels of experience. To make your walk as pleasant as possible, wear sturdy boots and comfortable clothes. Bring a water bottle, a snack and a pair of binoculars, if you have one.
