Texas guitar legend Eric Johnson has been one of rock’s most respected instrumentalists for over 40 years. Rising from Austin’s fusion scene in the ‘70s, he broke through with his acclaimed debut Tones (1986) and became a global guitar icon with the platinum album Ah Via Musicom (1990), featuring the Grammy-winning classic “Cliffs of Dover.”
A master guitarist, singer, songwriter, and pianist, Johnson has released 17 solo albums, earned multiple Grammy nominations, toured worldwide, and collaborated with artists like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Mike Stern. He’s consistently ranked among the greatest guitarists of all time and was inducted into the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2024.
Blending rock, blues, jazz, fusion, and more, Eric Johnson continues to tour and create music that’s both technically stunning and deeply soulful.
