Christ Church Wedding Festival

This October, Christ Church will be holding a Wedding Festival to celebrate marriage, which will showcase people’s personal wedding day stories as well as wedding outfits through the decades.

The festival will begin with an Evensong at 6pm on Sunday 5th of October and the church will be open for visitors 10am – 4pm from Monday 6th October to Saturday 11th of October. The festival is free to visit with donations gratefully accepted.

All are welcome to tour the church, read the wedding day stories and admire the wedding outfits, perhaps while enjoying tea and a cupcake! You will also have the chance to share your own wedding day story and put in a request for your favourite wedding hymn. The festival will close with a special Songs of Praise on Sunday the 12th of October at 6pm, featuring your chosen hymns, wedding cake and prosecco. Hats and veils optional!
