Emma Farquharson Jewellery

Award-winning goldsmith Emma Farquharson has designed and made contemporary jewellery for more than 35 years, exhibiting across the UK, Europe, Japan and the United States. Her work has been sold through the Guggenheim Museum, Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Victoria and Albert Museum and Liberty of London.

Raised in the Bahamas and later living in London, Egypt and New York, Emma draws on contrasting landscapes, cultures and architectural languages. The light and colour of the Bahamas, the history and craftsmanship of Egypt, and New York’s structure, geometry and scale continue to inform her work.

Making and designing are inseparable in Emma’s practice. Working directly with metal, she allows fabrication to shape and challenge ideas, with intuition and experimentation integral to the process. Her current work explores the tension between urban rhythm and wild landscapes, balancing geometric structures with natural forms to create sculptural, tactile and wearable jewellery. Rings, brooches, earrings and necklaces combine strong structural elements with subtle shifts in texture, surface and proportion, inviting both tactile and emotional engagement.

Emma enjoys working directly with clients and welcomes individual commissions.
