In October 1857 Charles Dickens left his house in Bloomsbury and walked through the night to his country home near Rochester. In November 2012 Peter Clark left from Bloomsbury to walk to Rochester, with two friends, also through the night. Peter will talk about both walks and how Dickens’ life and work changed after 1857. Peter is the author of two books on Dickens: Dickens’s London (2012) and Dickens: London into Kent (2013)
