SUMMARY:John Bramwell – Live At The Tree House

Cummings poem Somewhere I Have Never Travelled\, Gladly Beyond — ‘No one\, not even the rain\, has such small hands’ — which I once paraphrased to ‘Nothing can wash this away\, not even the rain.’ I’ve always loved that sense of mystery and magic… I’ve never been a realist.” – John Bramwell\, 2026 \nAs the voice of I Am Kloot (1999–2014)\, John Bramwell earned a Mercury Prize nomination for The Sky At Night (2010)\, a Top 10 album with Let It All In (2013)\, and a farewell orchestral show at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall. \nNow pursuing a solo path\, Bramwell continues to tour extensively\, bringing his heartfelt songs and razor-sharp wit to devoted audiences across the UK. \nHis acclaimed 2023 album The Light Fantastic marked a joyful departure from Kloot’s darker tone\, embracing harmonies\, strings\, and uplifting reflections on life and humanity. “These are the most uplifting songs of my career\,” Bramwell says. \nCelebrated for his captivating live performances and warm\, mischievous humour\, Bramwell remains one of the UK’s most distinctive songwriters. SUMMARY:The Bob Villains – Live At The Tree House
DESCRIPTION:In 1966\, Bob Dylan toured the UK. Each night began with a solo acoustic set\, before Dylan returned to the stage backed by a full electric band. Some in the audience loved the change; others did not. At the Free Trade Hall in Manchester\, one voice rang out above the rest\, famously shouting “Judas!” Dylan’s response was immediate and legendary: “I don’t believe you!”\,  before instructing the band to play louder. \nExactly years to the day\, The Bob Villains mark this iconic moment in music history\, with a special show at The Tree House\, Frome. This is truly one not to miss. \nCovering Dylan’s career from his early 1960s acoustic work\, through the electric years and his many stylistic reinventions\, The Bob Villains have spent over a decade presenting his music with the respect and depth it deserves. These five musicians capture the spirit\, power\, and poetry of Dylan’s songs without gimmicks or imitation. \nTheir extensive repertoire includes favourites such as Mr Tambourine Man\, All Along the Watchtower\, Forever Young\, Like a Rolling Stone\, Hurricane\, One More Cup of Coffee\, Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door\, Quinn the Eskimo\, Lay Lady Lay and You’re a Big Girl Now\, alongside deeper cuts from the Dylan songbook including It’s Alright Ma (I’m Only Bleeding)\, Chimes of Freedom and Silvio. \nThis year also marks 60 years since the release of the iconic double album Blonde on Blonde\, with a selection of songs from that record featured in the show. \nWith Dylan still touring in his 80s\, we are proud to celebrate the man and his music. The Bob Villains are a tribute\, not a tribute act\, no wigs\, no funny voices\, just 100% Bob Dylan’s music\, played with passion and authenticity. \nFor more information\, photos and videos\, visit\nwww.thebobvillains.com \n“Truly amazing – when you closed your eyes it could have been Bob singing.” \n“This band interprets the music with an obvious deep respect for the source material.” \n“Thanks for an amazing night. I’ll make sure I see you again in the not-too-distant future.” \nPlease note this is an 18+ all standing event\, and the venue is accessed by stairs with no lift. SUMMARY:Straighten Out – Stranglers tribute live at The Tree House
DESCRIPTION:STRAIGHTEN OUT are the world’s premier Stranglers tribute band with an extensive set-list that spans two solid hours as they re-create the ‘early years’ sound of The Stranglers\, complete with a Hammond organ and Minimoog synth; the same models used by Mr. Greenfield himself\, back in the day! \nThe growling bass sound and the quirky guitar riffs are all there to be heard as is the dual vocal ‘attack’ from the two frontmen a-la Burnel/Cornwell as they rip through the Stranglers’ classic: ‘Peaches’\, ‘Hanging Around’\, ‘No More Heroes’\, ‘5 Minutes’\, ‘The Raven’\, ‘Walk On By’\, ‘Straighten Out’\, ‘Down In The Sewer’ and many more as they cover the Stranglers’ early classic albums and beyond. \nStraighten Out will take you on a nostalgia trip that transports you back to those raw\, powerful\, exhilarating times when The Stranglers emerged through the quagmire of mediocrity to produce some of the finest music ever written. Straighten Out will put you back in that place! \nBassist Shaggy and keyboard player Mick (‘The Doc’) were together in previous Stranglers tribute band ‘Four More Heroes’ and it was only natural that these two continued on after their demise to form ‘Straighten Out’ given their love of Stranglers music and the desire to keep playing live. They set the platform with the growling bass and swirling keyboard sound so essential to reproducing the authentic Stranglers sound. Joining them are Jet ‘Beets’ Beety on drums and Phil Harvey steps up to give you the ‘Hugh’ element to complete the fearsome foursome. \nStraighten Out are a must-see tribute band! \nPlease note this is an 18+ all-standing event\, and the venue is accessed by stairs with no lift. SUMMARY:The Monochrome Set – Live At The Tree House
DESCRIPTION:Highly influential post-punk/indie band\, The Monochrome Set are to play in Frome\, at the Tree House. Loved by artists such as The Smiths\, Franz Ferdinand and Blur and covered by such diverse acts as Iggy Pop and Tracey Thorn\, this is a unique opportunity to see this legendary act at a small venue in Frome. \nThe band features original Monochrome Set members Bid (guitar/vocals) and Andy Warren (bass) with Athen Ayren on keyboards and Stephen Gilchrist on drums. \nThe Monochrome Set formed in 1978\, and were heavily influential in the post-punk scene that evolved after the initial scorched earth of punk. \nThe band’s early releases were on the legendary Rough Trade Label before signing with Virgin offshoot Din Disc. They also released several albums on the Cherry Red label\, making a notable appearance on that labels’ well known “Pillows and Prayers” compilation.\nThough The Monochrome Set split in 1985 the next decade saw several reunions for both live gigs and further studio recordings. After a hiatus of over a decade the band reformed full time in 2010 and have since toured all over the UK\, Europe\, Japan and the USA\, whilst also releasing eight new\, critically acclaimed\, studio albums. \nNow in their 48th year\, they are beginning a new series of gigs promoting their latest album and playing songs old and new. \nCo-founder and ever-present member of Yeovil-based indie pop band The Chesterfields\, Simon Chesterfield returns with a new pop band and new pop music. A seven inch single will be released by Spinout Nuggets in December. \nSimon Chesterfield’s eponymous debut album was released by German label Legere Recordings in October 2024\, a 10 inch vinyl album featuring six of Simon’s compositions reimagined as an orchestral performance. This was followed by a 7 inch single ‘Last Train To Christmas’ released by the Dutch label Snowflakes Christmas Single Club in November 2024\, landing somewhere between the orchestral sound of the 10 inch and the jangle pop of The Chesterfields. \nSimon’s new band line-up features Billy Shinbone (Neville Staple band\, The Sinclairs) on guitar and vocals\, Joe Atkinson (Donovan\, The Rhynes) on keyboards and vocals\, Wayne Higgins (John Parish band\, Radio Flyer) on bass guitar\, and producer Ben Scott Turner (i-nichi\, Evil Owl) on drums. \nPlease note this is an 18+ all standing event\, and the venue is accessed by stairs with no lift. SUMMARY:Heathen Apostles – Live at The Tree House
DESCRIPTION:Born of the voices of past lives and baptized in the dust bowl dirt\, the Gothic Americana music of the Heathen Apostles harkens back to a bygone chapter of American history. Using contrasting influences such as Bauhaus\, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and The Pogues along with Howlin’ Wolf\, Loretta Lynn (the band covers her classic Fist City) and Bessie Smith\, the Heathen Apostles have created a style of music that will conjure both angels and demons\, and will enlighten a darkened soul. \nForming the band together in 2013\, Mather Louth (Radio Noir) and rock n roll veteran Chopper Franklin (The Cramps\, Mau Maus\, Nick Curran & the Lowlifes) quickly uncovered a mutual appreciation for murder balladry\, Americana\, and memento mori. The landscape was further tilled with the addition of Luis Mascaro on violin. \nTheir 6 critically acclaimed albums\, along with their many EPs and singles (their release The Fall was named Best EP of 2018 by Folk n Rock magazine)\, capture the essence of the Heathen Apostles modus operandi: Southern Gothic Americana imagery surrounded by haunting\, minor-chord melodies\, musical influences including Gothic Roots music\, Bluegrass\, Blues\, and Gypsy Jazz\, all deftly bound together by the band’s dark and sometimes brooding sense of a bygone age. \nMost recently\, the band completed tours of both mainland Europe as well as the UK in support of their latest release\, The In Between\, with plans to return for two tours in 2026 in support of their forthcoming EP. \nPlease note this is an 18+ all-standing event\, and the venue is accessed by stairs with no lift. SUMMARY:Parker Barrow – Live At The Tree House
DESCRIPTION:Nashville-based Southern Rock Revivalists Parker Barrow roar back to the UK with their Hold The Mash Tour \nParker Barrow is a high energy\, blues-infused southern rock ‘n’ roll band led by husband-and-wife duo Megan Kane (lead vocals) and Dylan Turner (drums). A chance encounter brought Kane and Turner together in 2019\, when Turner was searching for a new singer for his band. The pair immediately hit it off\, and within two weeks they were on the road together in full time pursuit of a mutual musical dream. The couple have been riding the highs and lows of rock ’n’ roll road life ever since. \nIn 2023 Parker Barrow expanded with the full-time inclusion of guitarist and musical director Alex Bender. At the foundation of Parker Barrow’s sound is the heavy-handed groove of Turner’s drumming\, with Kane’s soulful and electrifying vocals soaring up over the top. The pair’s dynamics are brilliantly stitched together by Alex’s creative riffs and spirited playing throughout the songs. \nParker Barrow’s compelling vintage sound contains elements of rock\, southern rock\, blues\, and soul; but the band’s brand of music is unmistakably and distinctly their own. The band command an impressive mix of old and new influences threaded throughout their distinctive sound\, including the Allman Brothers\, the Black Crowes\, Blackberry Smoke\, Johnny Cash\, the Rolling Stones\, Tedeschi-Trucks\, Whiskey Myers and Led Zeppelin. \n+ special guests Georgia Nevada \nBCMA Female Vocalist of the Year nominee and 2 x UK Country iTunes number 1 artist\, Georgia Nevada\, is shaking up the UK’s Southern Rock scene. \nKnown for her powerful vocals and lyrical storytelling\, Nevada brings a unique blend of Southern Rock and blues rooted in the familiarity of country music. Inspired by the likes of Elle King and The Cadillac Three\, Nevada uses gritty guitars and lyrical storytelling to create a sound that is as captivating on stage as it is on a record. \nHaving opened for UK power houses like Kezia Gill\, When Rivers Meet\, Jade Helliwell and Gina Larner\, Nevada is now a household name amongst independent artists in the UK. After two sold-out EP Launch shows and global radio play\, this summer brings a vibrant festival season including Cambridge Rock Festival and the UK’s newest and highly anticipated Country festival\, Country Calling\, as the VIP Stage Headliner. \nPlease note this is an 18+ all standing event\, and the venue is accessed by stairs with no lift. SUMMARY:Raging Speedhorn – Live At The Tree House
DESCRIPTION:Raging Speedhorn formed in 1998 in Corby\, Northamptonshire\, merging members of Box and Soulcellar into a ferocious force of sludge\, metal\, and hardcore. Known for their dual-vocal attack—John Loughlin’s guttural growl alongside Frank Regan’s raw intensity\, the band quickly built a reputation for chaotic\, high-energy live shows. \nAfter the release of their self-titled debut (2000) and We Will Be Dead Tomorrow (2002)\, which saw “The Gush” enter the UK charts\, the band toured relentlessly with acts like Rammstein\, Slipknot\, and Biohazard\, and played major festivals including Ozzfest\, Reading\, and Download. Their third album\, How the Great Have Fallen (2005)\, preceded lineup changes and a fourth release\, Before the Sea Was Built (2007)\, before they disbanded in 2008. \nReforming in 2014\, the band returned with renewed energy\, headlining stages at Sonisphere and Damnation Festival\, and releasing Lost Ritual (2016) and Hard to Kill (2020)\, the latter charting across UK rock and indie rankings. They’ve since toured extensively across the UK and Europe with bands like Sepultura\, Napalm Death\, and Skindred\, and appeared at major festivals including Wacken. \nIn 2024\, Raging Speedhorn released their latest record\, continuing their legacy of uncompromising heaviness. \nPlease note this is an 18+ all-standing event\, and the venue is accessed by stairs with no lift. SUMMARY:Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast – Live at The Tree House
DESCRIPTION:Hailing from Asheville\, North Carolina Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast have earned a devoted international following for their electrifying live shows\, razor-sharp songwriting and the magnetic force of Caitlin Krisko’s powerhouse voice—praised by Rolling Stone as ‘arguably one of the best kept vocal secrets of the Southeast’. \nTheir new single ‘Heart of Gold’ is already earning national airplay on Planet Rock\, and it’s not hard to hear why.  With lyrics that dig deep and a performance that hits even deeper\, it’s a powerful glimpse into the emotional terrain of Heirloom\, their latest album.  As Blues Matters put it: ‘With Heirloom on the horizon\, ‘Heart Of Gold’ marks the beginning of what promises to be a defining era for Caitlin Krisko & The Broadcast.’ \nWritten in the wake of profound loss from the unexpected passing of Krisko’s mother and guitarist Aaron Austin’s stepfather in 2023\, Heirloom explores what we inherit\, and what we leave behind.  It’s a record about lineage\, letting go\, and choosing what truly matters.  Each track was shaped not just by grief\, but by years of resilience\, miles on the road\, and a deep commitment to creating something real together. \nPlease note this is an 18+ all standing event\, and the venue is accessed by stairs with no lift.
