SUMMARY:Corn dolly making workshop
DESCRIPTION:Come and spend an enjoyable day learning how to make corn dollies. \nWe will look at and discuss images and examples\, and then start learning some simple plaits and techniques\, which can be quite meditative to do! Everyone should create a couple of dollies to take away with them at the end of the day. \nClass size will be limited to a maximum of 8 people\, to ensure that everyone gets plenty of individual attention. \nThe course costs £65\, which includes full tuition\, all materials\, use of tools\, and tea\, coffee and homemade cake mid morning. You will need to bring lunch\, or treat yourself to something from Loud Mouth cafe on site. \nThis workshop is an introduction to corn dolly making\, and is suitable for beginners and improvers. \nTutor Rebecca Board has over twenty years experience of making baskets in a variety of natural materials\, and teaching her craft. She will guide you through the weaves and techniques on the day. \nAdvance booking with payment is essential.
