Or if you’d prefer to play manhunt in the forest garden? You can do that too. This is a group for anyone who wants to spend more time outdoors\, maybe learning about nature if that’s your thing\, but no pressure. As long as you’re yourself\, that’s what counts. We want EVERYBODY OUTDOORS! \nWe have some spaces available at a reduced rate for those on a low wage and are reserving limited spaces for free to enable this to be for everyone for real so if your child wants this but you can’t make it happen\, then maybe we can. Just get in touch: tamsin@vallisfarm.co.uk \nSessions run from 4pm-5.30 on Tuesdays during term time and must be booked in blocks of half terms. First one of the summer term is 9th June and the last will be the 14th July. No one offs\, sorry.

SUMMARY:The Gut Garden Day Retreat
DESCRIPTION:The relationship between soil and gut health is a fascinating area of study. As we discover more\, we are learning that time spent outside is having a hugely positive impact on our insides. From forest bathing to making ferments\, each bridge we build between the natural world and ourselves is a step further towards creating healthy habits which are good for both mind and body. \nJoin Alex from Somerset Kimchi and Kraut and Tamsin\, Head of Land and Learning at Vallis Farm on this one day workshop to learn about how healthy soils work\, the impact of gardening on both physical and mental health\, and how we can make simple changes for big benefits. Expect a gentle walk through our forest garden and local woodland to see what plants we can forage and grow to improve our gut biome. You’ll be getting your hands in the soil and learning how there are direct links between our interactions with the earth\, our food and our happiness. \nWe will then enjoy a super healthy and delicious lunch together before learning how to make ferments both for ourselves and our gardens. And what better way to finish the day with a bit of cold water swimming in our natural pool! \nExpect to come away with easy and practical information to make positive changes for yourself and your family and homemade ferments to enjoy at home. \nTickets are £115 and include lunch and refreshments throughout the day \nFriends of Vallis members get 10% off – see our website to find out how to become a member.
